Leslie Young is in many ways the heart of Everbold Farm. She lives on the property with her husband Terry. With an eye for detail, Leslie is in the barn everyday working to  ensure each horse’s care is just right. Leslie is a true horsewoman, with over forty-five years of experience riding, showing and breeding horses. She has ridden hunters, jumpers, polo ponies, and eventers. Leslie is still an active rider, currently studying Dressage with her spectacular homebred mare, Spring. When she’s not on the farm, Leslie loves to travel and hike. She has backpacked hundreds of miles all over the Appalachian Mountains and the Western ranges. She is also an amazing artist, specializing in stunning water color painting and illustration.

Terry Young owns Everbold Farm with his wife Leslie. Terry has been breeding and training thoroughbred racehorses for over 20 years and has amassed an impressive $2.3 million in lifetime purse earnings. Before Terry began training racehorses, he was a polo rider (Leslie and Terry met on the Polo field!). He has started several successful businesses in his lifetime, most notable being Midwest Packaging & Container, which he now shares with his son, Robert Young. Today, he’s (almost) retired and dedicates his time to his family, his horses and to the never ending task of keeping-up and improving Everbold Farm.

Marianna Peterson has been riding horses for over 20 years. Her love of all things equestrian began at Everbold Farm where she spent much of her youth riding and showing hunter jumper horses. She is currently developing a 7 year-old Gelding, Open Air ("Opie") in Dressage. She holds a degree in Zoology from Southern Illinois University Carbondale, where her studies focused on animal behavior. During her time in Carbondale, Marianna directed and taught youth equestrian camps and riding lessons at Giant City Stables in Makanda, Illinois. There she learned a great deal about natural horsemanship under the mentorship of Ramona Twellman. Her passion for training animals doesn't stop at horses - she is also a skilled dog trainer and behaviorist.  As well as teaching at Everbold Farms, Marianna owns and operates Complete Canine. She lives in Rockford with her husband Ted and son Emmett. When away from the barn, Marianna enjoys gardening, hiking and bird watching.

Haley has been riding and training horses since her earliest days. Growing up on a nearby farm in Cherry Valley, Haley and her mother Susan spent much of their time at Everbold Farm. At a very young age, Haley began developing and successfully showing many horses and ponies in  hunter/jumper and dressage arenas. She has a patient but fearless savvy with horses, skilfully assessing and understanding what each horse in her care requires to achieve  full potential. Haley holds a degree in Psychology from Northern Illinois University and is planning to achieve her masters degree in the near future.
